Hi, everyone! My sincere apologies for taking so long to get back--my alternate reality just kept getting in the way! The winner of the print copy of "Hotter Than Hell" is Wanda Flanagan. :) Wanda, if you'd care to drop me a line at raine@raineweaver.com, I'll be happy to get that in the mail to you. Huge thanks, everyone, for joining me here, and to the ladies of RomCon for inviting me.

When I was about 13 I live in this old 2 story building with a creepy attic. Every night my mom would tuck me into bed and during the night she would come check on my sister and I and cover us back up if our blankets fell off. Well one night, my mom wasn't home because she was on a business trip and wouldn't be home until a couple of days later. Sometime during the night someone came and covered me back up because my blankets fell off. I thought it was my dad or sister, except when I asked they said they never got up in the middle of the night. Weird, huh?

Mayfair Society Page with Lydia Dare

Hello! I’d like to introduce everyone to my new Regency/Paranormal series – The Westfield Brothers. It is not often one family should grace the same page of a society rag, but the Westfield men do just that.

Mayfair Society Page.  June 23, 1816

I must say I was positively shocked to see the Duke of B________ parading his latest paramour, the recently widowed Mrs. H_______, to a performance at Drury Lane last evening. One would think even women of her ilk would pretend to adhere to the traditional mourning period, at least while out in public. But one would be wrong.

While most in attendance came to see the fabulous Mr. Kean portray Shakespeare’s villainous Richard III, they undoubtedly saw a completely different performance all together thanks to the scandalous duke and his shameless companion.  I don’t believe the pair even turned one eye to the stage all evening. Which forces the question - Why they would even leave her bedchamber in the first place? Do you suppose His Grace is trying to shock society to its core? Or does he simply have no control of his baser instincts?

Unfortunately, His Grace is not the only beastly gentleman in the family. The duke’s youngest brother Lord B_______ is rumored to be just as debauched as the others with whom he shares familiar ties. Sources tell me, his lordship made quite the impression on a bit o’ muslin by the shore in Brighton a few weeks ago. He actually terrified the woman to no end and the watch came to her rescue. I shudder to even contemplate what his lordship must have done to frighten a woman in her profession. Shocking indeed! Whatever Lord B_______’s crime, he should hide himself away until the memory of his encounter by the beach fades away, however long that may take.

While we are discussing the men in this ducal family, I would be remiss in not mentioning His Grace’s middle brother, Lord W______, the silver-tongued rogue who has taken dissolute behavior to an entirely new level. How his lordship finds the time to bathe or even dine in between his conquests is a mystery to me. And one wonders about the women who toss themselves in his path. Have they not seen the string of other women he’s discarded? Or are the foolish enough to think they can change him? Once a rogue always a rogue and gently-bred ladies would do themselves a favor by keeping that advice in mind and Lord W______ at bay. But a man with a handsome face and deep pockets is hard to ignore, especially these days.  So I do not foresee any change in his lordship’s behavior. May God have mercy on every eligible lady in the kingdom.

These three brothers with their scandalous behavior should have been ousted from society long ago, and it’s only the duke’s position that holds them in their lofty positions.  Rumor has it the brothers will be leaving for their monthly trips to the country soon, so those of us in Town will have a brief reprieve from their scandal and mayhem.

Each of these gentlemen are featured in their own books. Simon, the Duke of Blackmoor, is first up in A CERTAIN WOLFISH CHARM, already in stores. Lord Benjamin is next in TALL, DARK and WOLFISH, due out May 4th. Lord William can be found in both of those stories as well as his own book THE WOLF NEXT DOOR, scheduled for release June 1st.

Have you ever done something you’d hate to have appear in a gossip column? If so, it’s time to share. You’ve gotten a peek at my heroes and their scandalous ways, after all. Two lucky commenters will win a copy of A CERTAIN WOLFISH CHARM. (US and Canada only.) Please include your email address in the comment line so we can reach you.

Congrats on your new release. This book sounds amazing. I can't wait to read it. How do you do your research?

This series looks really good, can't wait to start reading it.

Right now I can't think of anything in my life that someone would want to right about but who knows about the future.

I must have lead a very boring life. I don't believe I have done anything anyone in the gossip business. would be interested in.
My husband was about 2 and attended his parents wedding. His Dad had gotten a divorce in the Dominican Republic before he married my husband's Mom. Unfortunately, a few years later they got word the divorce wasn't recognized here in the States. Oops.

Lisa ~ Thanks! I hope you're able to find the books and enjoy them. Thanks for sharing your scandal. After 18 years, I think you're doing awesome!

Chelsea ~ LOL. What a hilarious story. I can just see that happening. :) Do you think Lily looks angry on the cover? I kind of took it as an innocent, come-hither expression. (But if she's angry - Simon CAN be a bit infuriating at times. And she IS raising a teenager.)

Hmmmm. Lets see. One of the only times I've ever worn heels, I completely missed the wet floor sign and fell on my back side. My sister, sweet girl that she is, laughed HER back side off. But carma does indeed go around. She tripped OVER the wet floor sign and fell. It was pretty hilarious, but still, that just aint something you want all of walmart to see, you know? *big grin*

I LOVE the way this series sounds! And the cover for A Certain Wolfish Charm is cute! But I wonder what the girl on the cover looks so mad about? Shes standing beside a hot chest! Whats to complain about? LOL!

Congrats on your new series. it sounds intriguing and i like Regency and paranormal so i'm think after reading your above description I'd love this series. I'll be looking for it in the store. Hopefully i can find it but i live in a rural area so there aren't many options for book buying til i get a chance to get to the city.

I can think of only one scandal that would be gossip worthy if i was a celebrity i guess and that's that i was 6 mo pregnant when i got married and yes i wore white lol I'll be married 18 years though in June and that baby will be 18 this fall as well. That beats most of today's celebrity marriages by far!

Katharine ~ Would you really want to be in a gossip column?!? I'm sure William would be happy to aid you with that dream. ;)

Christine ~ I'm so glad you enjoyed Ben's story! And great scandal. I won't tell anyone.

Jane ~ Thanks for the congrats. :) I'm sure I've done a number of things too, that I hope no one finds out about.

Congrats on your debut release and your upcoming release. There are probably some embarrassing moments in my life that I wouldn't want everyone to know.

I loved Tall, Dark & Wolfish! I didn't get a chance to read a Certain Wolfish Charm, so would love this.

My scandal?? My baby was a week old when I got married. hehehe ;0)

Let's hear it for society gossip pages! I believe I would find it eminently amusing to appear in one someday. Hm... I had better start going about with the Westfield brothers. ;)

Can't wait for Ben and Will's books!
