Now that I work though I have to sleep and get up at those awful hours in the morning so no more staying up all night for me.

Many thanks to both the judges and the coordinators! I'm so thrilled that THE HUNT is included with so many fabulous authors (who incited a small book buying frenzy on my part this weekend)!

Woo Woo. I'm just back from the RT book lover's conference where I got word in the form of a voice mail :o) That place is wild and I didn't even know I had a message until several hours later. What an honor to be a finalist. And I second what the others have said - thanks to the judges and congrats to all the other finalists!! I'm so looking forward to the conference in July

Hi everyone. Yesterday was SO much fun. Congratulations to all the finalists. There are a lot of books on this list I haven't had the pleasure of reading yet, but I WILL!

Thank you, thank you, thank you to all the judges. You all took your jobs SO seriously and did an amazing job, especially with leaving comments and suggestions for the authors, and judging each book on its own merit. I know they are going to be very happy for the feedback.

Yeah! See everyone in Denver on July 9 when we announce the winners. If you haven't registered for RomCon yet, do it today! It's going to be a blast.

Thanks!

We are elated that Beyond The Code of Conduct is included on the list of finalists. Thank you so much to our first round judges! Can't wait to meet you at the conference to thank you in person. Happy, happy dancing all weekend long. Michele, that was the BEST voicemail message ever. :-)

It was so much fun making these calls yesterday! Michele and I were total fan girls. I do hope Anna Campbell forgives me for ringing her up at such an UNGODLY hour.

I think our judges had a lot of fun with this contest. Many of them reported that they had never read work by the authors they judged, but now considered them must-buys. Many were introduced to new sub-genres and were happy to have their reading choices expanded. It was great fun hearing back from them.

Scores will be returned to non-finalists in a few weeks. The competition was VERY fierce, but I hope all entrants will come away from the contest knowing they received new readers from their participation.

I'd also like to give a shout out to Sue Grimshaw and the wonderful folks at Borders.  This contest would not have been possible without their sponsorship.  Their participation extends the readership of our contest entrants and provides true market impact for our winners--a win-win for authors and readers alike!
