Contemporary - Blood and Bone by Dawn Brown -

Blood and Bone started with the very vague idea of a woman digging into the past, searching for the truth, and a man torn between stopping her and protecting her. While this was a wonderful central conflict, a book it did not make. Around the same time, I read an article about men who murder their families, and I knew I had the perfect plot for Des and Shayne. Here’s an excerpt from Blood and Bone. I hope you enjoy it. Thanks for having me.

“Are you married?” The man sitting across the booth fixed his silvery eyes on Shayne’s bare ring finger.

“No.” She followed his gaze. Even after a year, she could still see a faint imprint in her flesh. Or maybe she simply imagined she could. After all, how many times had her thumb reached to fiddle with the smooth band only to find skin instead? “Not anymore.”

“Divorced?” He grabbed his beer off the table and tilted the bottle to his lips.

Careful. Don’t let him draw you in. You know better. “Mr. Anderson, we’re not talking about me.”

Historical - Sweet Enemy by Heather Snow -

Love Never Smelled So Sweet…

Sweet Enemy...
A Veiled Seduction Novel ~ Book One

"Historical intrigue and heart-pounding passion make Sweet Enemy a great read.
Romance fans will love it." ~#1NYT Bestselling Author JULIE GARWOOD

Geoffrey Wentworth, a war hero and rising political star, never wanted to be
the Earl, but when his brother dies, he knows his duty—take up the responsibility
for his family’s estates.  His mother’s definition of duty differs from his,
however, and can be summed up in one word—heirs.  When Geoffrey rushes home to answer
her urgent summons, he finds himself host to a house full of women, all vying to become
the next Countess of Stratford.  But his love is Parliament, where he wields his
influence and reputation to better the lives of ex-soldiers, until a tempting houseguest
and a secret from his past threaten his freedom…and his heart.

Liliana Claremont, a brilliant chemist, doesn’t want to be any man’s wife, much less a
countess.  If she had tuppence for every time she’d been told her place was filling the
nursery, not experimenting in the laboratory, she could buy ...

Fantasy / Futuristic / Paranormal - A Little Night Magic by Lucy March -

Hi, everyone. My name is Lucy, and I wrote a book. It’s called A Little Night Magic, and it’s about magic, friendship, waffle houses, small towns, big love, and crazy people wanting more power than is really good for them.

Or, you know, anyone.

I find questions of power really interesting. I have come to the conclusion that the only people who should have power are the ones who don’t want it. In the real world, unfortunately, the only people who hang on long enough in the endless battles for power are the ones who want it the most, and are willing to sacrifice the most of their souls to do it. However, I thought it might be fun to write about someone who absolutely didn’t want power, and thus is the one person who should have it.
